No obligation Phone Consultation

Please do text, email, or phone for a confidential free Initial Phone Consultation to find out how how counselling can help you as an adult, young person or your child, and as an opportunity to ask any questions. It is a useful time for me to take all information required, leaving the first session admin free for you to talk.

This is a good time for us both to see if we are happy to work together, as I believe that a good working relationship will effect a successful counselling experience and outcome for you. If I consider you may be suited to another professional therapist, we can discuss finding you the right help.

How does counselling work and how can it help?
The Benefits of Therapeutic Counselling and How can Counselling Help?

Length of Sessions?
A counselling session is 50-60 minutes.

How many Sessions?
Everyone has different issues, needs and goals, so as a unique individual the number of sessions you will benefit from will vary. For example 4-6 sessions is usual to work with mild to moderate issues, however, every client situation requires an individual therapeutic approach and timescale, which benefits from ongoing review during therapy.

Frequency of Sessions?
Having sessions regularly on a weekly basis is recommended to gain maximum benefit. Follow up sessions are helpful at longer intervals as required for continued support, review of progress, or personal development for example.

Ending Counselling Therapy
You are under no obligation to continue sessions at any stage, however I recommend we discuss and prepare towards an ending session to maximize the benefits of therapy and ensure ethical and safe practice in our work together.

Privacy of Therapy Rooms
I have five practice locations (Maps) chosen for their suitability to provide clients privacy and comfort within professional surroundings.

Session Fees, Booking & FAQs. Client Comments Experiences of Counselling

I work to the strict ethical code of the BACP so I assure you that discussions between us on the phone or in sessions are discreetly conducted and confidential. My aim is that we may enjoy a working relationship built on mutual trust and respect.

However, certain professional situations require me to discuss my work:-

For instance when attending Clinical Supervision, although client identity will always remain anonymous. This is required by my Professional Body the BACP.

If I consider during therapy that you or others parties may be at risk of harm I would need to assess whether to take safeguarding measures such as contacting your GP or outside agencies, and talk this through with you of course.

If I consider that you may benefit from seeing an alternative therapist concerning specific issues at any time we can discuss this together.

If any of this issue concerns you in any way please let me know at any stage when I can help answer any queries, perhaps at the Initial Consultation. Contact Me to discuss.

If you are in crisis and need urgent support or are experiencing suicidal thoughts please contact your GP (day or out of hours line) who is there to support you and who will be able to provide suitable help, as will your Hospital emergency department. Talk to The Samaritans with urgent or non urgent support at any time FREE on 116 123 /
